Who We Are

Proud Fathers Of SA is a non profit organisation, founded and based on the principles that define a protector, family man, loving husband and a proud father. A father figure not only to their own child but to the community’s children at large. Real-men who actively raise their kids rather than just baby-sit is our motto.

Mohlakeng township, on the outskirts of Randfontein in the westrand of Gauteng province is where the founders of Proud Fathers Of SA grew up.Through their tireless and selfless efforts through out their youth they strived to encourage other young men and young fathers within their community to become more involved in community development work. They set a clear example to their peers with their philanthropy work which many have acknowledged and heeded their call to become members of Proud Fathers Of SA.

The beginning as with the start of most things was an uphill battle due to lack of financial assistance, therefore the team had to become very resourceful in accomplishing their goals. Though self-funded for the most part of its programmes, with some partnerships with sponsors and donations Proud Fathers of SA has celebrated its 7th anniversary.

One of the things that the organisation has noticed over the years, was how it was becoming a norm in township society for fathers and more especially the younger generation of fathers to neglect their parental responsibilities and spent very little or no time at all with their children due to various social challenges. Proud Fathers as an organisation believes that it has a role if not responsibility to play its part in helping to change this mindset and overall situation.

Proud Fathers of SA is an organisation that often mobilises and encourages men within its community through various social initiatives to actively take part in Seminars or programmes that highlight issues such as women and child abuse,fund raising for the needy and our elderly citizens.Proud Fathers encourages the fathers within the community to play a role in the lives of those kids who are orphans or those that lack a father figure within a house hold.The lack of proper fatherly role models for the coming generations has become one of our main goals to overturn.Children who grow actively engaging with good role models become better members of society and can contribute to a better south africa in future.

Proud Fathers of SA is well known in and around Rand West City for sporting events, community give-back and recognition programmes, community and educational tours, father and child outings, holiday youth & christian camps, give-a-child school shoes programmes , the Christmas gifts hospital programme to name just a few.
